Archival Products
Our archival quality materials are produced from high alpha wood pulps or cotton fiber pulps and are guaranteed to have an alpha content of 92% minimum and a reducible sulfur level of 0.0008% max. Cold extract pH is in the range of 8.0 min. to 9.5 max. The standard calcium carbonate level is 3% minimum alkaline reserve. Lignin content is non-detectable (typically 0.10% or less). Only pigment inks are used to meet bleed and fade resistance criteria.
Archival quality and acid-free are not synonymous. Acid-free grades may contain recycled fibers that are either neutral or contain residual alkalinity as calcium carbonate. Acid-free grades cannot be certified for archival quality. Our grades are truly archival quality in nature in addition to being acid-free. Check out our NEW Double Walled Book Trays below! |
